It's been a while since I updated this aspect of Public Pixel! Whew. Here are some items of interest:

Jo French (MESP Fall 2002) has been on a CPT delegation in Hebron. She spent the month of April 2005 in Jerusalem and Hebron, and the surrounding Palestinian communities.

You can visit her website and check out her updates and photos here:

Last year Elias Chacour, author of the book Blood Brothers, and an advocate for peaceful integration of Palestinians and Israelis in the Middle East, spoke in Seattle, and I got to chat with him after his talk.

MESP message boards

and now for an update from the MESP world

Rob's NY Wedding

On January 11th Rob Sanzone joined ranks with the female race and married Stacey. I decided that I had to travel up to see the event, and I flew up on the 9th. We traveled out into the vast networks of New York to see the sites.

We visited the area that has become known as ground zero, and hung out in Times Square. The ground zero experience was quite surreal, while Time Square seemed very tiny compared to my expectations.

We then journeyed under the bay across to Jersey and viewed the scarred New York skyline.

The night before Rob sealed the deal, we wandered out to the New England nightlife.

The next day Rob got married. It was a great wedding there in Jersey, and a unique Italian reception after the ceremony. Dave Estes, Rob and I all had our mini MESP reunion.

Dave and Amy Estes invited me over to stay at their place before I flew out in the morning. I got to hear how they got engaged at Bridal Falls in Ecuador, and see their cool home looking out on a lake.

That's my update. If you'd like to jump into the message boards and speak your mind about the Middle East - you are more than welcome!!
